Two Fort Stewart Soldiers killed in Afghanistan

FORT STEWART, GA (WTOC)- Two Fort Stewart Soldiers were killed in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan Feb. 23.

The Department of Defense announced Feb. 24 that Sgt. Joshua A. Born, 25, of Niceville, Fla. and Sgt. Timothy J. ‘TJ' Conrad Jr., 22, of Roanoke, V.a., died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

The two soldiers suffered gunshot wounds when enemy forces attacked their unit with small arms fire.

Tornado watch in effect

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC)- A tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m. for several counties on Georgia and South Carolina.

It includes these Georgia counties: Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Echols, Glynn, Pierce, Ware and Wayne.

Liberty County School System Job Fair set for Saturday

HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) – The Liberty County Board of Education will host a job fair for the Liberty County School System on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Liberty County Board of Education members will accept applications for classified and certified positions throughout the district for the 2012-2013 academic year. The job fair will be from 9 a.m. until noon at the Liberty County Board of Education, 200 Bradwell Street in Hinesville.

Cost is free to attend.
